Data privacy

Data privacy means the security of personal, scientific or technical data against misuse, stealing, loss or modification. Data privacy wants to save the right to informational self-determination.

Data protection

Data protection is the security against data loss on computer systems. The respective data are stored on a backup copy on antother medium in order to recover them, if necessary.
